Great review, fast service! I'd been waiting on a manufacturer's warranty technician for over a week. When the service department finally got back to me, they said it would be 2-3 weeks for service. Instead, I called Fitness Repair Xperts. Steve had same-day and next-day appointments available, and was able to take care of the various problems immediately. Just to give a little more detail: my elliptical, which was brand new, was doing two things: there was a ping/pang sound with every revolution. Also, each revolution was like trying to walk through cement. He immediately knew what the problems were, and got them fixed real quick! Steve was beyond professional, courteous, and more affordable and quicker responding than the manufacturer. Steve was great, treadmil is working great and no longer sticking. Worth every penny! To anyone who says it's not worth $175 to come out and lubricate and tighten a belt, there's a book by Brian Tracy called Focal Point, in it he tells a story that's fitting. An engineer charges $10,000 to come to an electrical plant and find a faulty breaker that was costing then a lot of money. He came out for 15 minutes and walked around examining the various brakers until he paused at one examining it carefully, pulled out a red marker and drew a red x on the box. The owner was shocked when he saw the bill. "$10,000 for 15 minutes of work to draw a red X, surely that's mistaken, can you give me an itemized breakdown of the costs?" The engineer went to his truck and came back with a piece of paper which he handed to the owner. It said: Drawing Red X on box: $1 Knowing which box to draw the red X on: $9,999 Likewise, I had spent an hour taking my treadmil apart, lubricating everything, tightening the belt, and still couldn't figure out why it was sticking... Steve came out, did a simple test, sprayed a particulae belt on the motor with a particular lubricant, and then tightened the belt about 3 more turns on each side. Voiala, fixed! You're paying for Steve's expertise, he knows which belt to lubricate, the type of lubricant to use, where it's at, how to check and test it, exactly how much to tighten it, etc. Steve's expertise fixed my problem, my treadmil is no longer sticking and I can run at full speed, worth every penny!
